Lancer NPC idea.

Orin Xing. Callsign: The Tortoise- A famous Albatross Lancer somewhere around 140 years old. He may look old, but the man is built like a brick house. Said to have died 40 years ago in a large pirate raid on the fringes of Union territory defending an IPS-N freighter. 

Xing earned his Callsign not by being slow but by representing an ever-forward moving force during assaults. No matter enemy numbers, artillery fire, he always made it from point A to point B with his comrades close behind.

He now resides at the Deliverance Station in Long Rim. The Tortoise serves as a pseudo-sheriff and a bastion of hope for all Unionites that live there. He mostly keeps to himself as much as possible, aiding Deliverance with ex-Albatross soldiers that have found comfort in his leadership. 

Recently, freighters heading for Deliverance station have been attacked consistently by “unaffiliated” Long Rim pirates. Xing itches to fight in his Tortuga known as “Shell” again, but the Elders of Deliverance wish for him to stay aboard the station and remain a figurehead of hope. 

As pirate raids increase, it’s only a matter of time before the old tortoise moves.
