I had to take a step back and look realistically at this site and what I want to do with it. Initially, I thought that the schedule would be a good idea, but that is currently making me stress about various things.

Having a schedule is great, but I want this site to be in good condition before I start worrying about the content I’m putting out. Even if I put out great content, new viewers will skim on-by if the site looks terrible. 

So, from now on, I will be putting out small posts concerning the development of this site. 

I want the archive, but I also need this site to shine. Right now, Joski.ca looks objectively terrible. I’m going to change this. The first implementation is going to be the Archive; it’s a must. After that, I will be working on the site’s general aesthetics and more available options. The look, options, and everything else that I implement will often change as I get more reader feedback. But at least the site will be making progress.

I’m sorry that I won’t be sticking to the schedule, but the site is a priority before the content right now. I need to maximize my viewership, and that can’t happen in the current state. I hope you understand.

That said, I will still be making posts that interest me when I find the time. Those posts will be shared personally by me with my regular viewers. For example, I will be continuing my talk on Austin Kleon’s book, so don’t worry about that.

This site overhaul has to happen now; it will put me in the right headspace for what I’m working on. I will still be making posts every day; I just can’t say how big or “important” they will be. I also need time to work on other things off the site (I will eventually share them here). 

This whole “Show Your Work” thing is a new endeavor for me, but I need to rethink what kind of “work” I’m showing. I also need to consider what kind of time I want to spend on specific tasks, such as this site, compared to other things I can’t immediately share here.
